Obituary

Neil Clark Miner, 88, of 2308 Whitten Road, Waterloo, widower of Betty Rogers Miner, died Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at his home. Born in Jacksonville, FL, he was a son of the late Charles Edward and Gladys Avalina Irwin Miner. He retired from the US Coast Guard, where he served during World War II and was the owner of Central Florida Plastics. Surviving are two daughters, Jeanne Wall and her husband, Hack, of Waterloo and Loretta Ann Hamby of Easley; a sister, Rachel Hollis and her husband, Joe, and a brother, Jay Carrol Miner and his wife, Andi, all of Harrisonburg, VA; a granddaughter, Stephanie Alva of Atlanta; grandsons, Steve Wall of Chapin and Mike Sitz of Easley; great grandchildren, Christopher Wall of Chapin, Amber Phillips, Ashley Alva and Anna Lanier, all of Atlanta, Spencer Sitz and Amanda Sitz of Easley and a great great grandson, Aiden Phillips of Atlanta.
