Nell Porter Belk, 93, widow of William �Bill� Alvin Belk, died Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at Magnolia Manor. Born in Greenwood County on August 7, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Edd Kendall and Lela Scott Porter. She was retired from Arial Mills of Easley. She was a member of Lowell Street United Methodist Church, where she was a former member of the United Methodist Women and the Do-Likes. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by her sisters, Ruth Webb, Sybil Garner and Latrelle Nickolaus and her brothers, Otis Porter, Ellison Porter and Charles Porter. Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Daniel �Sonny� Nickolaus and his wife, Margie, of Ninety Six, Marlene Garvin and her husband, Bill, Sue Burnett and her husband, Curtis, Toni Collins, Scott Garner, Porter Garner and his wife, Cleva, all of Greenwood; sisters-in-law, Hazel Porter of Ninety Six and Bette Porter of Greenwood and nine great nieces and nephews.
