Nicholas "Nick" Cory Allen, 38, of 715 Rockhouse Road, passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Ray Allen and Debbie McAlister Parker. He was a member of Harris Baptist Church. Nick was an avid Carolina Gamecock fan and fisherman. He had a huge heart and never met a stranger, especially when it came to the ladies.

Surviving are his father, Ray Allen of Ware Shoals; mother, Debbie Parker and Bobby J. Parker; grandmother, Sarah Nell McAlister (Nanny); brother, Travis Allen (Terri), all of Greenwood; stepbrother, David McCarter (Natalie) of Conway; nephews, Will, Matthew, and Zach Allen; and large amount of extended loved ones including special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde McAlister (Pop), Otis Allen (Pa), Ruth Allen (Granny) and step grandparents, Rev. T.C. Parker and Bessie Parker.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday at Harris Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Thomas and Pastor Mark Lowe officiating. Burial will follow at the family farm, 715 Rockhouse Road, Greenwood, SC 29646.

Pallbearers will be Greg Allison, Dusty Strickland, Scott Boggs, Jeff Minor, Greg Sears, Jay Stockman, Phillip Vaughn, and Clay Vaughn.

Honorary escort will be retired and active Greenwood Sheriff's Department, Brandon Strickland, David Coleman, Horace Kirkland, Horace James Kirkland, Jimbo Lowe, Scotty Sherfield, Neil Dickenson, Dallas Swartzentruber, Anna Ouzts, Dr. Albores, Dr. Mark Bartz, Dr. Miracomi, the ICU Respiratory Therapists; and nursing staff.

The family will receive friends before the service from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m. on Monday at the church.
