Nick "Pop" Arnold Anderson, Jr., 78, of 516 Grace Street, widower of Betty Hall Anderson, died Friday, June 15, 2018 at his home.
Born in Myrtle Beach, SC, he was a son of the late Nicholas Arnold Anderson, Sr. and Mary Browder Anderson. Pop was a US Army veteran and the owner and operator of Nick Anderson Paint Contractor. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Surviving are his children, Christopher Anderson, Leslie Anderson Johnson (Eric), Sylvia McAlister (Candice), Carol Kimling (Steve), Nicky Anderson, III, Daryl McAlister (Carol), William "Billy" McAlister, Ralph "Jackie" McAlister, Jr. (Phyllis), and Tina Anderson, all of Greenwood; a sister, Mary Bernice Cox of Rock Hill; grandchildren, Chane Archambalult (Anderson), Michael McAlister, Matthew McAlister, Catherine Moore (Josh), Conner Smith (Jamie), Danielle Derrick (Lance), Frankie Barbour of Abbeville, Katrina Torres (Jose), JP Pearson (Brooke), Kevin Dumpert (Michelle), Taylor Kimling, Kaitlin Johnson, Morgan Johnson, Cameron Johnson, Tobie Johnson, and Charlie Johnson, all of Greenwood; six great grandsons; and ten great granddaughters.
In addition to his wife and parents, Nick was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Hudson and two brothers, Carl Hudson and Arnold "Sonny" Anderson.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Grady Lothridge officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Chris Anderson, J.P. Pearson, Kevin Dumpert, Michael McAlister, Matthew McAlister, and Daryl McAlister.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
