Nina Lee Parnell, 81, of 455 Halfway Swamp Road, Chappells, Saluda County, died Saturday, July 19, 2014 at her home. Born in Comer, GA, she was a daughter of the late Roy Alex and Evie Lena Kidd. Nina retired from Greenwood Mills and she was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She was a member of Faith Temple Church, she was a very active member and helped in many different capacities. Surviving are three sons, Roy Donald Parnell (Helen) of the home, Larry Shane Parnell of Belton, and Jerry Parnell (Amanda) of Ninety Six; a daughter, Kathy Chrisley of Greenwood; a brother, R.J. Kidd (Bobbie Sue) of Elberton, GA; a brother-in-law, Arthur Dorn of Ladson, SC; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ina Dorn and Sue Brennan; and a granddaughter, Kathy Renee Chrisley. Pallbearers will be the grandsons.
