Norval Pierce Davis, Jr., 70 of 3307 Hwy 248 South, Ninety Six, died on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Orangeburg, he was the son of the late Norval Pierce Davis, Sr. and Avelle Sanford Davis. Norval was an U. S. Air Force veteran of Vietnam War. He worked for Citi Finance for 38 years and was of the Methodist faith. Norval was well known with the Democratic Party of Greenwood, where he was a Greenwood County Democratic Chairman, a SC Democratic Party Executive, and a member of the Congressional District Democratic Chairman. He was also on the Greenwood County Water and Soil Commission.

Surviving are his very special friend, Rhonda Coats of the home; and two sisters, Mary Free and Marlene Bates, both of Florence.

A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. John Wilde and Reverend Randy Ouzts officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12 to 2 pm.
