William Olin Scoggins, Sr. 75, of 344 South Main Street, Donalds, loving and devoted husband for over 42 years of Dorothy Prickett Scoggins, died Monday, March 24, 2014. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Robert Lee and Fannie Pearl Saxton Scoggins. He was a graduate of Greenwood High School and Piedmont Technical College. Olin retired from Fluor Daniel and was a US Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era in the 82nd Airborne Division, Special Forces. He was a lifetime member of the DAV, Greenwood Chapter and a member of Panola United Methodist Church, Greenwood. Surviving is his wife of the home; two sons, Arthur Sears and his wife, Wanda, of Honea Path and William Olin Scoggins, Jr. of Donalds; a brother, Roger Scoggins and his wife, Patricia, of Ware Shoals; a sister-in-law, Verna �Sis� Moore of Hephzibah, GA; two grandsons, Steve Sears and Scott Sears; a great grandson expected in April, Jayson Phoenix Sears; two special little babies, Callie and Simba; and a granddog, Ikenna. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Robbie Sears; a sister, Linda Scoggins and two brothers, Bobby and James Scoggins. Pallbearers will be Donald Phillips, Sam Randazzo, John Murray, Jim Edwards, Jerry Hilley and Benny Stevens. Honorary escort will be Lindsey Scoggins, Scott Sears, Steve Sears, Corey Mitchell, Eddie Stewart, Bruce Stewart and Ricky Stewart. .
