Mrs. Ora Turner Adams, age 91, of McDonough, GA, passed away on May 6, 2016.

Mrs. Adams was born in Greenwood, SC a daughter of the late Ora Smith Turner and Albert Turner. She was also preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Adams was a devoted member of McDonough First Baptist Church. During her career, she enjoyed being a high school teacher and her last job before her retirement in 1986 was with Lake Shore High School.

Survivors are her husband, James E. Adams Sr. of McDonough; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. James E. Adams, Jr. and Janet of McDonough; granddaughter, Tracy Thomas and her husband, Eston, of Centreville, VA; great-grandchildren, Bennett and Cora Thomas of Centreville, VA; numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Mrs. Adams will be on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Tom Bergman officiating at Greenwood Memorial Gardens in Hodges, SC.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the cemetery.
