Oscar Rubio, 48, of 109 Dowling Circle, Greenwood, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

Born in Morazan, El Salvador, he was a son of the late Isabel Escobar and Lorenza Rubio. He worked at Richloom Bailey Plant for 22 years where he worked in the receiving department. In his off time, he enjoyed remodeling investment properties.

Oscar was always willing to lift a helping hand when his friends and family were in need.

He is survived by his children; Bryan Rubio-Cruz, Maritere Cureno, Lizbeth Cureno Ortiz, and David Cureno; sisters, María Julia Escobar, Angelica Escobar, Alejandra Escobar, Lidia Escobar, and Maria Asencion Escobar; brother, Jose Sabino Rubio; and grandchildren, Daniel Ortiz, Jamielynn Ortiz, Ruby Ortiz, Sophia Ortiz, Samira Pena, and Sadee Pena.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Harley Funeral Home.

Services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday at First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Kyle Hite officiating.
