Lawrence Otis Bowers, 79, of 194 Flatwood Farm Road, died Thursday, September 28, 2017 at his home.

Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late Douglas and Lizzie Mae Bryant Bowers. He was retired from Pro Med and Greenwood Mills, served in the South Carolina National Guard for fifteen years, and worked at the Greenwood Flea Market for over fifty years. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his significant other of sixteen years, Peggy Chandler of the home and two sisters, Mildred Bullard (Tommy) and Mary Harrison (Gary), both of Greenwood.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Bowers and Bobby Bowers.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Ouzts officiating. Burial will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Ken Rackley, Jimmy Evans, Sammy Evans, Michael Gordon, Dalton Boyce, and DJ Boyce.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
