Otis Duncan, 79, formerly of 716 Union School Road, widower of Alice Pauline Whitmore Duncan, died Saturday, February 26, 2011 at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson. Born in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late T. J. and Willa Mae Harris Duncan. He retired from Greenwood Mill Durst Plant and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Otis was an US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of Whitehall Church of God. He was preceded in death by a sister, Nell West and by a brother, Theron Duncan Surviving are a son, Eddie Duncan of Greenwood; a sister, Juanita Duncan Heatherly of Union, two brothers, Joe Duncan and John Duncan, both of Union; two granddaughters, Rena Smith and Kristen Duncan and one great grandchild. Memorials may be made to St. Jude�s Children Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1942. The family is at the home of his granddaughter, Rena and Adam Smith, 589 Old Calhoun Falls Road, Abbeville.
