Obituary
Patricia L. Severson Vaughn, 89, of Greenwood, widow of Frank L. Vaughn, died Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
Born in Soldier Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Grace Jones Severson. Pat received her undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama and her Master's degree from the University of Iowa. She was a retired teacher.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Jill Vaughn Hall and her brother, Jim Severson.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. Ted Vaughn (Lynn) of Greenwood, SC and Dr. Michael Vaughn (Sandy) of Birmingham, Alabama; a sister, Donna Bebber of Lakeland, Fla; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A private family service will be held in Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, AL.
The family would like to thank the staffs of Brookdale, Emerald Gardens, NHC and Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont as well as special friend and caregiver Ms. Betty Terry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
