Patricia R. Bridges, 75, of Greenwood, wife of Scott D. Bridges, passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at her home.
Born on Febarury 8, 1951 in Burlington, VT, the daughter of the late Robert Reid and Carolyn Reynolds Reid.
A dedicated nurse for many years, Patricia’s career spanned across Vermont, South Carolina, and California. Her healing hands and gentle presence touched countless lives throughout her long service in healthcare. It was during her time in California that she met the love of her life, Scott. Together, they built a beautiful life grounded in deep devotion, sharing 42 wonderful years of marriage.
Beyond her profession, Patricia was a woman of vibrant passions and simple pleasures. She had a profound love for animals, with a particularly soft spot for her beloved bunny, Jack. An artistic and reflective soul, she found great joy in music, reading, writing, and composing poetry. Those who knew her best will fondly remember her fondness for thrift shopping, always hunting for hidden treasures and the sweet, simple tradition of sharing chocolate milkshakes with her family.
In addition to her loving husband, Scott, she is survived by brothers, Robert "Bob" Reid and Charles "Charlie" Reid; two sisters-in-law, Linda Maxey and Barbara Bennett (Alan); brother-in-law, Tony Bridges (Dianne); and two nieces, Meaghan Larocca (John) and Miranda White (Vince).
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at Elmwood Cemetery with Father Gregory Rogers officiating.
