Paul Edward
Doyle
May 19, 1948 — Jul 5, 2026
McCormick
Paul Doyle, 78, of McCormick, husband of Ginger Doyle, died Sunday, July 5, 2026 at Hospice House in Greenwood.
Born in Charleroi, PA on May 19, 1948, he was the son of the late Carl Doyle and Virginia R. Doyle.
After a successful career in high-tech sales, Paul chose to retire and follow a deeper calling, earning a Master’s Degree in Special Education. He dedicated the rest of his life to serving others, finding his greatest joy in working with children; especially those with special needs. Paul had a rare, beautiful gift for connecting with people from all walks of life, blending a quick-witted sense of humor with a sincere, boundless desire to help others.
Committed deeply to his faith and his family, he strived to be the best "Pop" possible, showering his daughters with immense love and patience, while his grandchildren will forever remember their Papa through the laughter and fun he brought into their lives.
Alongside his devoted wife, Paul shared a profound love and a passion for seeing the country. Together, they made it their mission to leave every place they touched better than they found it, collecting lifelong friendships along the way and always opening the doors of their warm, welcoming home to others. Paul found deep gratitude in the simple pleasures of life and believed in never wasting a single blessing.
He took great pride in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and could usually be found outdoors, whether he was fishing, playing pickleball, hiking, swimming, traveling, or taking long walks with his wife and their beloved dog, Loretta. An avid reader and a master of "tinkering," Paul could fix absolutely anything or engineer a creative solution to any problem. His family will fondly cherish the memories of his favorite traditions, from his simple Saturday hot dogs to the specialized sushi he loved preparing for those he held most dear.
In addition to his wife, Ginger, he is survived by his daughters, Kacie Doyle and Kelly Doyle and his grandchildren, Alexander Taylor, Nikolas Taylor, Thomas Haaland, Blake Haaland, Josie Haaland, and Daniella Sabater, his sister Barbara Huey (Jerry), his niece Barbara Check (Derek) and their son.
There will be a Memorial Service at New Covenant Church, 1509 Woodlawn Rd, Greenwood SC on Thursday, July 9th at 1PM.
The family will receive friends following the service.
In lieu of flowers, Paul had a great love for serving, and donations to this mission organization are welcome without obligation: https://secure.frontiersusa.org/.
