Paul Wilson Herrick, 72, of 806 Hwy 221 South husband of Faye Wilson Herrick, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Southwest Harbor, MA, he was a son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Phyllis Grindle Herrick. Paul was a U. S. Navy Veteran and was a member of the Mathews Lions Club. For thirty-eight years, he was the founder and owner of Yankee Hone Precision Machine Shop. Paul was a member of First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where he was in the Dust Busters Sunday school class. He was preceded in death by a son, Andrew Herrick; a brother, Richard Herrick; and a sister Myrtle Elaine Herrick. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his children: Cindy Lou Lake of NE, Donald Ristow of SC, Kathleen B. Herrick of CT, Theresa Crosby of SC, Janice Marble of MA, Robin Zordan of CT, Matthew Herrick of SC and James E. Ristow of VA; a brother, Steven Herrick of TX; eighteen grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. The family has requested that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Mission Fund, 2107 First Mount Moriah Road, Greenwood, SC 29646.
