Paul Edward Scott, 88, husband of Elizabeth Givens Scott, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at NHC Healthcare Center. Born in Hampton, TN, he was a son of the late Will D. and Mae Wagner Scott. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1949 and retired after 32 years of employment from Union Carbide, Oak Ridge, TN, where he was an electrical engineer. He served in the US Navy during World War II, was a member of Etta Kappa Nu, an honorary electrical engineering fraternity, and was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. Surviving is his wife; a daughter and son-in-law, Paula Scott Taylor and Harold A. Taylor, of Greenwood; two granddaughters, Allison Taylor Cain of Columbia and Melissa Taylor Kij of White Bluff, TN and three great grandchildren.
