Elizabeth Paulette Bannister, 79, of Greenwood, widow of James R. Bannister, Jr., passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at her home.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Farrell and Ruby Allred Bollinger. Paulette was a member of South Main Baptist Church where she was in the Adult 5 Sunday School Class. She enjoyed traveling especially taking cruises, loved visiting friends, socializing, talking on the phone, spending time with her family and doing for others.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Hicks; a great grandson, Zander; a sister, Mickie Ann Thomas; and two brothers, Jimmy and Mike Bollinger.
Surviving are her daughters, Lorrie Thompson and her husband, Greg, of Piedmont, and Georgianna Norman and her husband, Tim, of Greenwood; two sisters, Susan West of Belton and Lynn Vail of Greenwood; seven grandchildren, April Skidmore, Kristen Hodge (David), Steven Coleman, Lee Ishman, Jessica Cure, Connie Carroll and Nicole Gantt (Ren); and nine great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Maddie, Gracie, Gage, Jordyn, Addison, Bryar, Kaisley and Zalie.
Services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Gunter and Dr. Toby Frost officiating. The service will be live streamed and available to view by visiting Paulette's life tribute page at

Pallbearers will be Chuck Harrison, Tim Norman, Ren Gantt, Scott Skidmore and Greg Thompson.

The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home from 1-2 pm.
