Mrs. Pauline �Polly� Reeves Black, 90, of 122 Garner Heights, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Self Regional Medical Center. She was the widow of Furman L. Black. Polly was born May 7, 1924 in Seneca, SC to the late Rev. John P. and Vena Sanders Reeves. She was a member of Emerald Baptist Church. Surviving are two grandsons, Robert Odell Moore, Jr. of Greenwood and Richard Vincent Moore, Sr. of Waterloo; a sister Eloise Queen of Gastonia, NC; four great grandchildren, Randy Moore of Hodges, Kimberly M. Haynes of Pickens, Richard Vincent �R.J.� Moore, Jr. (Jackie) of Virginia, and Robert Moore, III of Greenwood; three great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews She was preceded in death by a son, Randy Black; a daughter, Joyce Ann Blanchett; a sister, Ruth R. Tinsley; and eight brothers, Fred and Paul Reeves, John Wesley Reeves, Roy Reeves, Rev. Edward Reeves, Rev. Furman Reeves, Carl Reeves and Hebert Reeves. Pallbearers will be Buddy and Johnny Reeves, Russell and Ty Vines, C.T. Cromer, Ken Matterson, Robert Moore, III, R.J. Moore, and Rus Quattlebaum. Honorary escort will be Randy Tillon, Bill Bice, Jimmy Butler, Gary Fortner, Chip Fagan, Wayne Whatley, DeWayne Vest and John Wham. Memorials may be made to Emerald Baptist Church; 110 Laurel Avenue East, Greenwood, 29649. The family is at the home of her niece, Carolyn R. Vines, 107 Epworth Camp Road, Ninety Six.
