Phyllis Ann Wells Maxwell, 58, of 465 Logan Street died Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of Ila Mae Parkman Burgess and the late George Bruce Wells. Phyllis was a 1970 graduate of Greenwood High School and was a nurse for the late Dr. William Roche. She was a former resident of Aiken, where she was a nurse and a member of First Baptist Church. Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Gene Burgess, of Kirksey; a daughter, Lindsey Maxwell of West Columbia; two sons, Allen Maxwell of North Augusta and Ryan Maxwell of Charleston; two sisters, Sherry Welch of Greenville and Lynn Hubbard of Atlanta and a brother Chuck Wells of Ninety Six.
