Prince Yates, 51, of 111 Utopia Acres-Lot 3, husband of Wanda Ard Yates, died Tuesday, February 03, 2015 at Hospice House. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Prince Fedrick Yates and Bessie Williams Yates. Prince was a former employee of NSO Synthetics and was a member of Living Way Church. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Preston Fredrick Yates and Justin Lee Yates, of the home; three step children, Leslie Proctor, Tiffany Todd and Haley Shirley, all of Greenwood; five sisters, Betty Barger, Rachel Harrison, Nancy Yates of Greenwood, Lisa Yates of Raleigh, NC and Jacklyn Covington of Ninety Six; a brother, Leonard Yates of Greenwood; and eleven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a stepson, Trey Proctor; two sisters, Sylvia Yates and Barbara Saxton; and three brothers, Billy Yates, Charles Yates and Jerry Lee Yates.
