Ralph Herbert Tucker, Jr., 76, of 322 Calhoun Road East, husband of Dianne Tucker, died Saturday, September 9, 2017 at his home.
Born in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada on May 8, 1941, he was a son of the late Ralph Herbert Tucker, Sr. and Rhoda Doty Shields. He was a retired successful businessman in commercial flooring. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his children; Ralph Troy Tucker of Blacksburg, Rosalind Tracey Tucker Brenneman (Gary) of New Bern, NC., Maria Darlene Langley of Emporia, KS, Cindy Dyer of Newberry, and Billie Ann Parker (Debbie) of Greenwood; brothers, Rob Small (Gogi) of Ontario, Canada, Mark Small (Lynda) of Burlington, Canada, and John Shields (Laura) of Illinois; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Douglas Trevor Tucker and Christopher Michael Tucker; a sister, Patricia Shields; and a brother, Douglas Tucker.
Services, with honors, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Heath Easler officiating.
The family will receive friends before the service on Tuesday from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
