Obituary

Herman Randolph Williamson, 82, of 201 Sivell Road, husband of Jo Ann Davis Williamson, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, he was the son of the late H. G. Williamson and Sudie Harter Williamson. Randy was an U. S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the 45th Infantry Division. He was a car salesman for over 50 years with Johnson Motor Company and l ater Davis Buick-Olds. He was a faithful member of First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School Class. He also served as head usher at the church for many years. His grandchildren were his greatest joy and they enjoyed riding with �Bop� in the golf cart. He was an avid auto racing fan. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are a daughter, Kelly Anderson and her husband William of Greenwood; and two grandchildren, Caleb and Caitlyn Anderson. Randy was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Lollis; and by a brother, Gerald Williamson. Pallbearers will be Larry Gosnell, C. Brown, Danny Polatty, Sr., Rick Aga, John Tom Bannister, James Lollis, Ray Kidd, Arthur Ray Lee, Patrick Griswold, Chris Driggers and George Warner. Honorary escort will be the members of the Joy Sunday School Class, Dr. Cobb, Dr. Lewis, Dr. Burdette, Arthur & Vi Lee, Paul & Faye Herrick, Doyle & Louise Anderson, Robert Watson, Sr., George Davis, George Bledsoe and the ICU nurses at Self Regional Medical Center. Memorials may be sent to First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Building Fund, 2107 Mt. Moriah Road, Greenwood, SC 29646. The family is at the home.
