Charles Ray Hunsucker, 74, of North Augusta, husband of Brenda Caston Hunsucker, died Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Charles Odell Hunsucker and Florence Evelyn Cothran Hunsucker McCranie. Ray was an U S Army veteran having served during Vietnam and retired from Savannah River Site. He was of the Methodist faith.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are a daughter, Melissa Hunsucker of Aiken; a son-in-law, Robbie Robinson of Aiken; two sisters, Sandra Gail Hunsucker (Earl Fuller) of Chappells and Cheryl Adams (Darrell) of Greenwood; a brother, Thomas McCranie (Marlene) of Waterloo; five grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim Coston officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

The family has requested that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to Ray Hunsucker Account c/o Harley Funeral Home, PO Box 777, Greenwood, SC 29648.

The family is at the home of his sister Cheryl Adams, 102 Phoenix Road, Greenwood.
