William Reid Ouzts, 89, formerly of 303 State Street Ninety Six and resident of Petra Healthcare of McCormick, widower of Frances Voiselle Ouzts, died Monday, December 19, 2016 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born on April 25, 1927 in Saluda County, he was a son of the late George Napolean and Armintie McManus Ouzts. He was retired from Greenwood Mills, Ninety Six Plant, was a US Marine Corps veteran of World War II and was a member of Friendship Pentecostal Holiness Church.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Larry Michael Ouzts, Charles Douglas Ouzts and Rodney Gregory Ouzts.

Surviving are his grandchildren, Rodney Allen Ouzts (Crystal) of Saluda, Charles Michael Ouzts (Arianna) and Jamie Reid Ouzts, both of Greenwood and Kayce McKenzie Ouzts of Greenwood; great grandchildren, Shayanne Ouzts, Cameron Ouzts, Ava Ouzts, Charly Ouzts and Ayden Ouzts; and a number of nieces and nephews, who loved him very much.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brian Brock officiating. Burial, with military rites, will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Charles Ouzts, Jamie Ouzts, Darren Ouzts, Gerald Ouzts, Victor Voiselle and Wendell Voiselle.

Honorary escort will be Rodney Ouzts, Steve Ouzts and Tim Ouzts.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 1 to 2:30 p.m.

The family is at the home of his grandson, Charles Ouzts, 303 State Street, Ninety Six.
