Agnes Renate Barton, 79, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, November 11, 2025 at her home.

Born on June 4, 1946 in Czach Republic, she was the daughter of the late Carol and Christine Heinrich. Renate moved to the United States in 1963 with her family in pursuit of new opportunities and a brighter future. She was employed with Greenwood Mills for thirty years before starting her own small business, founding her own cleaning service, Barton Cleaning Service. She stayed actively working until her illness. She found joy tending to her flower beds and riding her lawn mower.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her ex-husband, Micheal D. Barton.

She is survived by her children, Christine Danner, Tina Barton, Micheal Barton (Teresa), Anita Rushton (Randy), and Del Barton; grandchildren, Amand Gouldsmith (Danner), Brandon Danner (Amy Dalton), Jonathan Sanders (Amanda), Corey Barton (Alycia), Lacey Marie Warden, Shyann Barton, and Andy Barton; great grandchildren, Oliver Danner (Foster), Cameron Sanders, Wyatt Barton, Weston Sanders, Linkoln Barton, Wren Barton, Everleigh Warden, and Ace Warden; brother, Erich Heinrich; and nephew, Marco Heinrich.

Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Randy Ouzts officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Renate's home, 112 Hitching Post Road, Greenwood, SC 29646.
