Renee Holladay, 61, passed away on August 2, 2026, in Greenwood, SC at her home.
Born in Greenwood on October 9, 1964, she was the daughter of Ronald and Drenda Raborn Butler.
Renee truly loved the simple things in life. She had an adventurous spirit and loved nothing more than packing up for a trip, especially if she was heading out to the peace and beauty of the mountains. Back at home, she was always happiest working on a jigsaw puzzle or diving deep into her family history through genealogy. Family was her whole world. She lived for good quality time with the people she loved, always looked forward to catching up at family reunions, and loved nothing more than chatting on the phone for hours with her friends and family. Faith was important to her. She attended Ninety Six Church of God and went on to become a member of Langley Bible Church in Langley, SC.
Along with her parents, she is survived by her husband, Dennis "Ray" Holladay; sister, Kathy Butler; uncle, Steve Raborn; aunt, Judy Worrell; Brother in laws, David Holladay and Greg Holladay; nieces, Hope Way (Sean) and Lindsey Farver (Brandon); great nieces, Grace, Faith and Emersyn; and great nephew, Beau. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Raborn and Mr. and Mrs. A.P. Butler; father and mother in law, Robert "Bobby" and Hazel Holladay; aunt, Sandra Raborn, who was like a sister; uncle, George Worrell; and her faithful fur baby, Lucy the Shih tzu.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel officiated by the Reverends Ray Massey and Charles Eugene Brown.
The family will receive friends before the service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
