Rex Randall Reece, 60, of Donalds, husband of Allison Smith Reece, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 10, 2025.
Born on December 14, 1964, in Greenwood, he was a son of the late George W. and Hazel Lindley Reece. Rex was a U S Navy veteran and Operations Manager with Goodwin Group Holdings, where he dedicated many years to the grocery industry. He was a beloved figure known for his unwavering devotion to his family, especially his children and grandchildren. Rex took great pleasure in tinkering with cars, finding joy in the mechanical challenges they presented. An avid weightlifter, he valued fitness and well-being, and cherished adventures, whether it be riding horses, cruising on the high seas, trying his luck at casinos, or embracing the open road on his motorcycle. Rex will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his passion for adventure, and his whimsical pursuits, including his enthusiastic search for Sasquatch.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George Reece and a sister, Kathy McCulley.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his children, Rex "RJ" Reece, Jr. (Jennifer), Alicia Fleming (Alex), Brianna McConnell (Bryson) and Triston Reece; sisters, Tammie Burnett, Beverly Brooks and Sherrie Rogaczewski; brothers, Randy Reece and Ronnie Wood; two granddaughters, Alivia and Brynley; honorary grandchildren, McKensley and Kohen; fur babies, Pippa, Buddy and Missy; sister-in-law, Claudette Reece; brother-in-law, Kenneth McCulley and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 pm on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Al Wood officiating. The family will receive friends before the service from 2-3 pm.
Honorary escort will be Marvin Sudduth, Brian Clark, Gary Bolton, Faith Williams, Cody Capp, Taylor Pierce and his work family.
