James �Richard� Davis, 66, of 3416 Highway 25 North, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Basil Lee Davis and Frankie Sue Couch Davis. Richard was a U. S Navy veteran having served during Vietnam War. He was a former employee for Capsugel and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin �Jitter� Davis and Wayne Davis. Surviving are two sons, Darrin Davis and his wife Beth, of Greenwood and Ty Davis of Hodges; two brothers, Gary Lynn �Chuck� Davis of Hodges and Larry Michael �Bones� Davis and his wife Debbie, of Lugoff; and one grandson, Richard Bailey Davis of Greenwood. The family respectively requests that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to the Down Syndrome Association of the Low Country, PO Box 2275, Mt Pleasant, SC 29465. The family members are at their respective homes.
