Richard A. "Big-Un" Raines, 58 of 231 Lowell Avenue, died Saturday, November 12, 2016 at his home.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Verona Lee Grizzell Raines and the late Charles Raines. Richard worked construction and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Henning; and a brother, Ronald Raines.

Surviving in addition to his mother of the home is a brother, Raymond Raines of Greenwood.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Kevin Hembree officiating.

The family will receive friends before the service on Saturday from 12 to 1 pm.

The family has requested that flowers be omitted and memorials be made to HospiceCare of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
