Richard Baxter Sanders, Jr, 85, of Greenwood, died Friday, October 8, 2021 at Wesley Commons.

Born in Ninety Six, he was the son of the late Richard Baxter Sanders, Sr. and Maggie Reeves Sanders. Richard was a graduate of Ninety Six High School class of 1954 and Clemson University and was an accountant with the Department of Defense. He was a U. S. Army veteran where he was stationed in Korea and was a member of the SC Genealogical Society, Greenwood Historical Society and Sons of the Confederate Veterans. Richard was a member of South Main Street Baptist Church.

Surviving are a cousin, Connie S. Smith (Randy) of Greenwood; along with several other cousins and many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1pm on Tuesday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with the Dr. Toby. Frost officiating.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
