Frank Richardson Sells, III, age 23, died unexpectedly on August 7, 2017.

Richardson is survived by his mother, Martha Elizabeth Garrett (Cooka); father and stepmother, Mr. Frank Richardson Sells, II and Rose Sells; sister, Anna Wilson Sells; stepsisters, Addie Norton and Amy Bell; grandmother, Mrs. Corydon Dwight Garrett Sr.; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Frank Richardson Sells, Sr.; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and Richardson's special friend, Abby Reese.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Mr. Corydon Dwight Garrett, Sr. and his grandmother, Mrs. Laura Sells.

Richardson graduated from J. H. Rose High School in Greenville, N.C. and was a graduate of Piedmont Technical College. He served with the Northwest Volunteer Fire Department for 4 ½ years and was employed by The Burton Center.

Richardson's love of the outdoors, baseball, football, golf, hunting and fishing started at a young age, in his short life. He loved fishing and hunting with his father, Kacky and Dolly and his uncles. Richardson played Little League in Greenville, N.C. and was on the 2006 Little League NC Championship Team. He also played on J.H. Rose High School's baseball, football and golf teams.

Richardson was a sweet, kind young man with a great big hug and smile, who will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jeff Lethco officiating.

Honorary escort will be members of the Northwest Volunteer Fire Department along with Tyler Goldman, Chez Gosnell, Elliott Layne, Matt Moore, Hunter Burton, Zach Burton, Blake Gettys, and Sam Deery.

The family will receive friends before the service on Thursday from 2:00 – 4: 00 p.m. at the funeral home.
