Fred Ricky Deal, 69, of Bradley, husband of Susan Ridlehoover Deal, a beloved husband, outdoorsman, and animal lover, passed away on November 30, 2023.

Born and raised in Greenwood, he was a son of the late William Fred Deal and Dealver Rachels Deal. Rick retired from Brunswick Pulp and Land after 25 years and was known as a humble man who kept to himself, cherishing his privacy. He possessed a strong sense of independence and self-sufficiency and was an avid hunter that spent countless hours in the woods, finding solace and joy in the pursuit of game. However, it was Rick's deep love and respect for animals that truly set him apart. Whether caring for his beloved dog or observing the wildlife, he found solace in the company of creatures big and small. He was a member of Troy United Methodist Church.

Surviving in addition to his beloved wife of the home are brothers, Bruce Deal (Brenda), Ronnie Deal (Linda) and Jimmy Peeler (Sandra); and their children, Jamie Peeler and Jodie Peeler.

Rick's wishes were that no services will be held.

Family members are at their respective homes.
