Ricky "Shady" Gerald Coker, 54, of 318-A Eddy Road, Ninety Six, husband of Lisa Haynie Coker, died Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at his home.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late William "Bill" Coker and Susan Pollard Faulkner. He was employed with Greenwood Mills, Harris Plant. Shady had a passion for drag racing and loved being surrounded by family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his son, Mark Mooney (Amanda) of Greenwood; step mother, Vickey Landrick; sisters, Jackie Branham, Marie Coker, Erica "Missy" Neely, and Tammy Coker; brother, Barry Wilke; and three grandchildren, Macey Mooney, Kyler Mooney, and Kati Ann Mooney.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ashley Gerald Wilkie.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. Chuck Sprouse officiating.
Pallbearers will be Michael Allen, Joe Boddie, Jeffery Boddie, Dave Kirschner. Andy Fain, James Jimmy Brock, and Craig Hughes.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. at Harley Funeral Home and Crematory.
