Malcolm Ricky Hagan, 81, of Waterloo, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Prisma Health Greer Memorial Hospital.

Born on February 2, 1945, in Gastonia, NC, he was the son of the late Burgie Hagan and Irene Mason Hagan.

A dedicated truck driver, Ricky spent years on the road, but nothing brought him more joy than his family. He cherished the moments he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He often found peace in the company of horses, enjoying both the beauty and grace of these magnificent animals.

Ricky is survived by his children, Travis Hagan and Alicia Russ; stepchildren, Kathleen Plana and Maranda Biediger; sister, Linda Kelly; grandchildren, Lysa Hagan and Ryker Russ; and special companion, Ruby Cothran, who all will miss him profoundly. His family and friends will forever hold onto the memories they created with him, sharing laughs and stories around the dinner table and during family gatherings.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
