Ridgely Calvin Thompson, 59, of 924 Sunset Drive, husband of Marsha Whatley Thompson, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Calhoun Falls, SC he was a son of the late James C. Thompson and Grace Maddox Thompson. Ridgely graduated from Lander College with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He was self employed, an avid outdoorsman and loved animals. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are two daughters, Stacey Thompson and her husband, Randy Pace of Greenwood, and Lindsey Thompson and her fianc� Tolly Price IV of Abbeville; three brothers, Damon Thompson and his wife Martha Sue of Duluth, GA, James C. Thompson, Jr. and his wife Barbra of Anderson, and Duane Thompson and his wife Sandra, of Elberton, GA; a sister-in-law, Jean Whatley of Greenwood; a grandson, London Pace; four nephews; and two beloved cats, Mia and Bubba. Pallbearers will be Randy Pace, Tolly Price, Melvin Yoder, Bruce Bell, Daniel Thompson and Carey Thompson.
