Rita Timms Davis, 61, of 115 Laport Drive, wife of Ronnie "Ron " Davis, died Saturday, November 7, 2015 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Weston A. and Lois Ellis Timms. Rita was an Administrative Assistant in the Engineering Department for 35 years at Self Regional Medical Center and she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Ware Shoals. She loved shopping, the beach, reading, and her grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of the home; three children, Amy D. Thompson (Joey) of Greenwood, Heather "Nikki " Parris (Michael) of Ninety Six, and Ashley D. Yandell (Ivan) of Hodges; a sister, Bonnie Garner (Bobby) of Abbeville; a brother, James C. Timms (Gwen) of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Reid Thompson, Drew Thompson, Brody Parris, and Cade Yandell; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Nina Davenport; and a brother, Charles Timms. Pallbearers will be Lee Lowe, Jim Kelly, Glenn McClam, Glenn Waldron, Butch Anderson, Dan Bowen, Jack Graves, and James Sanders. Honorary escort will be the past and present employees of the Engineering Department at Self Regional Medical Center. Memorials may be made to a charity of ones choice.
