Robert Earl "Robbie" Cooper, Jr., 58, 2772 Arnold Lane, Waterloo, died Friday, January 6, 2017 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood, he was the son of Robert Earle Cooper, Sr. and the late Mary Seymour Cooper. Robbie worked for the SC School for the Deaf and Blind where he was a resident advisor for 22 years and played a leadership role in the deaf community. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his father of Waterloo; a son, Bobby Cooper of Waterloo; and three sisters, Betty Cothran, Debbie Sprouse, both of Waterloo and Celia Moore of Ninety Six.

A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Monday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home from 1 to 2 pm.
