Robert H. Hamrick, 77, of 206 Willowbrook Road, husband of Jackie Alexander Hamrick died Sunday, September 27, 2009 at Hospice House after a courageous battle against cancer. Born in Shelby, N.C., he was the son of the late Howard and Margaret Reynolds Hamrick. After retiring with 21 years of service from the United States Navy, he worked for Womeco Vending Company. He was of the Baptist faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He loved bowling, the outdoors and camping; and had a passion for animals. Besides his devoted wife, Jackie, he is survived by three sons, Charles Hamrick and wife, Julie, of Moyock, N.C., Robert Hamrick and Joseph Hamrick both of Greenwood; one daughter Cynthia Hamrick Schieber and husband Ron of North Augusta; grandchildren Cathy Gray, Jamie Pittman, Crystal Brown, Josh Hamrick, Tara Hamrick, Brittany Hamrick, Matt Hamrick, Amber Floyd, Montana Hamrick and Kristopher Hamrick; and six great grandchildren.
