Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Phillip Carroll Vaughn, Sr. and Barbara Lowe Mayo. Robert worked for Anderson Construction.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister, Billie Jean Brown and a brother, Phillip C. Vaughn, Jr.
The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Friday from 5-7 pm.
The family is at the home.
