Rodney Malcolm Hewitt, 80, passed away on August 16, 2024, at his home.

Rodney was born on February 27, 1944 in Bramshott, England to the late Thomas and Ethel "Jo" Leib Hewitt and preceded in death by his brother Thomas Rutherford Hewitt, Jr.

He retired from Michelin Tire Corp. after thirty years of service. Rodney was a very caring and generous gentleman. His life was full of good. Rodney was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, Valerie Hedgecock Hewitt, a daughter, Stacey Garrett and her husband Stacy, his son Ashley Colin Hewitt (Emily Dillard) along with five grandchildren, Jacob, Dylan, Joshua, Ragan and Caroline.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel.
