Rodney Daron Lipe, 39, of Greenwood, husband of Amy Nicole Lipe, passed away Monday, November 27, 2023.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Angela Marie Lipe Fleming. He worked for Scott Sorrow for fifteen years doing home improvement work, with painting being his specialty. In his spare time he enjoyed going hunting and fishing. Rodney was always surrounded by many friends and loved to make everyone laugh. His biggest "adventure" was jumping naked off the Lake Greenwood bridge and making the front page of the Index Journal. Above all else he was a good father, providing for his children and loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Amy; mother, Angie; children, Alyson Lipe, Anthony Lipe, Aiden Lipe, Aaron Bridges, and Addison Allen; sister, Amy Leopard (Hobie); brothers, Christopher Lipe (Faye), Johnny "Jon Jon" Fleming; James Fleming (April), and Roger Dale Owens, Jr.; sister-in-law, Christal Watts (Keith); grandmothers, Marie Lipe and Nell Fleming; uncle, Richard Lipe; cousins, Stacey Schultz, Scotty Lipe, and Sean Poland; nephews, Tanner Leopard (Alexis) and Austin Griffin (Anna); nieces, Destiny Lipe and Emily Lipe; good friend, Rock; two dogs, Nala and Liz; a horse, Dede; a rooster named Elvis; and goat named Rooster.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Johnny Fleming, Sr.; stepdad, Roger Owens, Sr.; aunts, Theresa Lipe and Ruthie Lipe; grandfather, Jack Fleming; grandfather, Jess Roy Lipe; cousin, CJ Poland; great grandparents, Granny McClain and George McClain.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the Harley Funeral Home chapel with Mr. Richard "Richie" Lipe officiating.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
