George Roger Sargent, 48, of 104 Gervais Street, husband of Stacy Barnes Sargent, died Thursday, November 11, 2010 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Judy Taylor Sargent and the late Bob Sargent. He was a graduate of Ninety Six High School, attended Erskine College, was a graduate of Piedmont Technical College and was employed by Velux. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Roger served on the Greenwood School District 52 Board from 2002-2005 and was The Voice of the Wildcats for the past 14 years. Surviving are his wife; his daughter, Deanna Sargent; his son, Austin Sargent; his granddaughter, Ella Sutherland; his mother and two brothers, Bobby Sargent and his wife, Lynn, and Jeff Sargent and his wife, Jennifer, all of Ninety Six.
