Roger Dale White, 80, of 128 Whirlaway Court, Greenwood, formerly of Calhoun Falls, beloved husband of Ruby Porter White, passed away Thursday, July 27, 2023, at his home in Greenwood.

Born in Abbeville, he was a son of the late Phillip and Inez Cannon White. Roger was a retired electrician from Mohawk Rocky River Plant. He was a very active man that enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting arrowheads and golfing. Roger was most of all a family man who adored his wife of 59 years, his daughters and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Thurmond "Sonny" White; and brother-in-law, Jim Porter, Jr.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home and his daughters; Melodi Sexton and Carla White, both of Greenwood; grandchildren, Brendan Sexton (Heather) of Donalds, Blair McCutcheon of Greenwood and Brice Sexton (Catherine) of Simpsonville; brother, Wayne White (Anne) of Elberton, GA; and sisters-in-law, Judy White of Calhoun Falls, Martha Brown of Summerville, SC, Sue Porter and Linda Porter, both of Greenwood.

Graveside services will be held at 11am on Monday, July 31, 2023, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Scotty Willoughby officiating.

The family will receive friends briefly following the service.
