Rollyn Jean Cowan Smith, 66, of Greenwood, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at her home.

Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of J. D. Butler and the late Betty Jean Fain Butler. Rollyn enjoyed camping and being outdoors in her younger years. More recently, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchild, Nolan. She had a generous, big heart and was very outgoing. Rollyn loved her Lord, her church family at Real Life Church and her pastors, R.C. and Jenny Davenport.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Megan Boswell.

Surviving in addition to her father are her spouse, Luis Gonzalez; children, Angie Boswell, Rev. Amy Laye and Eddie Laye; brother, Dale Butler; grandchildren, Ed Laye, Demarcus Laye, Nate Laye, Lindsey Ramey, Dustin Butler and Jim Boswell (Andrew); great grandson, Nolan Ramey; caregiver and best friends, Theresa Thompson and Marguerite Chrisley; and grand dog, Chloe Grace.

The family will hold a memorial service at 2pm on Friday at Real Life Church and receive friends before the service at the church from 1-2pm.

The family will be at the home of her brother, Dale Butler, 1722 Highway 246 South, Greenwood, SC 29646.
