Ronald "Ron" Peter Koeppen, 76, of 502 Willowbrook Road, husband of Patricia Justice Koeppen, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2023 at his home.

Born in Milwaukee, WI, he was a son of the late Charles W. Koeppen and Marian Casper Koeppen. He received his bachelor's degree in biology from the University of South Carolina and formerly worked as the Environmental Health Director for the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control. Ron was a US Army veteran, where he served in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, large cookouts, and traveling, especially to Alaska. Ron was a former member of the Bass Federation and the Rebel Bass Club.

He is survived by his wife of the home; children, Scott Koeppen (Liz) of Greenwood and Mark Koeppen (Whitney) of McCormick; two grandchildren, Lacie Lagroon and Kristie Koeppen; brother, Thomas "Tom" Koeppen; sister, Barbara Koeppen, both of Wisconsin; and numerous extended family and friends.

Graveside services, with military rites, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Harley Funeral Home and Crematory.

The family will be at the home all other times.
