Ronald G. Western, 72, of 138 Lake Ridge Drive, husband of Beverly Riley Western, died Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Vincennes, IN, he was a son of the late Jack and Catharine Roth Western. He earned a B.S. degree in Business from Indiana State University and retired as the Operations Manager from J. B. White. He was a US Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and was an active member of McCormick United Methodist Church, where he served on the Administrative Board and was a Stephen Minister. Surviving is his wife of the home; three sons, George Western of Lincolnton, GA, Jeff Western and Chris Western, both Middletown, OH; a sister, Jane Theis of Elkin, NC; grandchildren, Nicole Western and Amanda Holmes, both of Augusta, GA, Ashleigh Western of Lexington, SC and Alex Western of Lincolnton, GA; great granddaughter, Miranda Myers of Augusta, GA and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Fulk.
