Ronald Olin Simmons, 57, of 202 Augusta Circle, died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of Sue Haralson West and the late Olin D. Simmons. He was formerly employed by A. M. Tuck and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving is his mother; his daughter, Chelsey Simmons; his son, Greyson Simmons; his sister, Rhonda Coats, all of Greenwood; brothers, David Simmons (Sheila) of Greenwood, Russell Simmons of Easley, Mickey West of Spartanburg and Andy West (Teresa) of Ada, GA; and his stepmother, Ernestine Simmons of Greenwood. He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Michael O. Simmons and his stepfather, Jim West.
