Obituary
Rose Mary Corey, 61, of Cross Hill, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023, at her home.
Born in Bronx, NY, she was a daughter of the late Vincent Kendig and Susan McKeever Wood. Rose was a caregiver and enjoyed gardening, fishing, walking and hiking. She was very active, loved traveling, visiting flea markets and Corvette car shows.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepfather, Robert Wood; and sister, Joan Kendig.
She is survived by her significant other, Karl Brian Gunn; her son, Jason DiDonato and his wife, Mary Didonato of FL; brother, Edward Kendig and his wife, Michelle Kendig of MA; four grandchildren; best friends, Sharee' Davis, Todd Mann, Christine Schumski and Ray Salinas; and her animals: six dogs, three cats and six koi fish.
A private service will be held at later date.
Memorials may be made to Laurens County Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 238 Laurens, SC 29360.
