Evelyn Rose Taylor Sartain, 90, widow of Howard Ray "Buddy" Sartain, Sr., passed away Sunday, September 7, 2025.

Born in Williamston, NC, she was a daughter of the late Eldon "Buck" and Jessie Rogerson Taylor. Rose was a homemaker and a member of Rice Memorial Baptist Church.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are her sons, Ray Sartain (Kathryn), Gene Sartain (Barbara) and Dean Sartain (Cindy); nine grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.

Services will be held at 3pm on Friday, September 12, 2025, at New Journey Church. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends at the church before the service from 2-3pm.

Family members are at their respective homes.
