Rosemary Farr Walters, 83, widow of Dr. Lex D. Walters, died Thursday, September 22, 2022 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Ben F. and Myrtle Stairley Farr. Rosemary had served as the executive director of the United Way and was the owner, founder and president of The Heritage Company.

Rosemary was very active in the Greenwood community having served as president of the Greenwood Woman's Club, her Garden Club, was a board member of the Greenwood Humane Society and the Foster Care Review Board. She was a member of South Main Baptist Church.

Surviving are her children, Dan Walters of Greenwood and Shay Walters and her partner, Sharon Schmid, of Summerfield, NC; grandchildren, Mariam, Bevan, Ben, Lexie and Trevor Walters, Chris Cantrell (Hanmi), Brandon Correia (Kayla), Julian Assele and Jayme Correia; and great grandchildren, Alexander Cantrell, Lexi, Madelyn and Ezra Correia.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Oakbrook Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum with the Rev. Fred Walters officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
